India's diverse climate ensures availability of all varieties of fresh fruits & vegetables and ranks second in fruits and vegetables production in the world. Total exports of fruits from India are around US$ 1.3 billion and vegetables amount to US$ 608 million. Grapes, Pomegranates, Mangoes, Bananas, Oranges account for a large portion of fruits exported from the country while Onions, Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes, Tomatoes, and Green Chilly mainly contribute to the vegetable export basket.
In order to establish and strengthen contacts between companies in India and the Netherlands, the Embassy of India, The Hague and the Agriculture Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in India, in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality will be organizing a Virtual Buyer Seller Meeting on Monday, April 26, 2021, [1100-1230 hours CET]. The final programme for the day is under preparation and will be shared with you shortly.
A selected group of prominent Indian producers/ Exporters will be presenting their company and product profile. It is a good opportunity to learn more about the possibilities offered by India and to meet new companies in India. Dutch importers are invited to join. Dutch agri-tech based companies can also interact with Indian exporters / agri-sector to explore synergies.
